Though it has been a year, I got the chance to watch the official video of #Ukraine #InternationalFashionDays 2012 (#IFDs, Kiev) just now. It brought back my every single memorable moment of this once in a life time #fashion experience, and I feel like it is worth sharing with my dear followers. Reputable #designers, #fashion #editors and #fashionistas from all over the world including myself as the only #blogger based in #HongKong being invited who attended the 5-day event were interviewed by #FashionOne. Guess what brand it is? #Valentino never fails to impress us on the red carpet, but let’s face it, not everyone has the #personality and #charisma to rock it. I first spotted this speechless stunning blush-colored silk #embroidered evening gown with tiny white beads from a review of #Valentino Spring/Summer 2013 #runway show at Paris Fashion Week (#PFW) in October last year on #style.com, and without the slightest hesitation I put it on my top five favorite looks list of the collection (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151123494299965&set=a.367497954964.152349.277566999964&type=3&theater). Last week on TV I encountered the dress again but this time I couldn’t help but feel disappointed not about the dress itself but the wearer who failed to personalify true #Valentino #glamour and #elegance. It was worn by #HongKong singer and actress 鄭秀文 Sammi Cheng (as attached), much to my surprise, who won the best dressed award at the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards (#HKFA) presentation ceremony. Obviously she won largely due to the judges’ affinity for #Valentino. I literally saw no connection between Sammi and the brand, not to mention owning the #style.
